Code of Conduct

 

Members are required to have their Membership ID card affixed to their person above the waist when entering and on the club premises.  Members and visitors are required to adopt a suitable dress code appropriate at all times.

Flying members when exercising the privileges of their pilot’s license must wear shoes on all such occasions.  This condition does not include non-flying, other members and visitors.

 

Members and visitors will be required to act in a responsible manner when on the club’s facilities.  Any misbehavior will be dealt with by the club’s disciplinary committee.  The Disciplinary committee shall give due and urgent consideration to any matter brought to its attention either in writing or verbal by a responsible person and determine if to suspend or disqualify any person from membership or from access to the club.  Such determination shall be considered by the Board of Management as soon as practicable on notification by the Disciplinary committee.

 

Airport Security

 

Barbados as a Member State of the International Civil Aviation Organization is obliged to comply with all International Aviation Security requirements.  It must therefore be noted that the club and its members are required by Grantley Adams International Airport Security Regulations (the Laws of Barbados) to comply with all security considerations issued by GAIA Inc

 

Members and visitors to the Club are not entitled to enter restricted or prohibited areas at the Grantley Adams International Airport, unless they hold the appropriate pass issued by Grantley Adams International Airport Inc. (GAIA Inc.).  Possession of a valid Pilot or Aircraft Maintenance Engineers License does not entitle the holder to enter or be in Restricted or Prohibited areas at the Grantley Adams International Airport.

 

Grantley Adams International Airport Inc (GAIA Inc) has agreed to provide the Barbados Light Aeroplane Club with a limited number of Temporary Pilot and Visitor pass to facilitate entry through their controlled gate and access to the operational area on the South side of the Grantley Adams International Airport.  These temporary passes are under the strict control of the club and when required must be issued in accordance with security control procedures.  These procedures and log are subject to regular audit by Grantley Adams International Airport Inc. security staff and any other International Airport Security auditors.

Any person found abusing this requirement will be subject to appropriate action by the club’s disciplinary committee.  Any breach of security requirements must be reported to Grantley Adams International Airport Inc (GAIA Inc).
